Traditional methods of municipal waste management require cities to landfill ash produced by incinerating biosolids. quasar's system takes a waste by-product and generates renewable resources that benefit the communities in which we do business. Our process creates marketable products that can be resold to the community or land applied on farms to create a close loop.

Biomass can be managed through land application programs. Land application programs are based on the agronomic requirements of the crops to be grown. However, human nature leads to over application on easily accessible fields.  Many fields have excess nutrients that leach into the country’s water resources and the result is pollution and reduced crop yields from soil compaction and salts in many regions. Anaerobic digestion changes raw biomass such as manure into marketable products that can be moved from farms to markets for better utilization and cleaner soil and water for the country.

Soil Amendments:

Access to virgin topsoil is limited in most major markets in the US. Blended topsoil, which requires a source of stable organic matter like digested biomass, is the source of topsoil in most markets. Anaerobically digested biomass produces readily marketable soils for many uses.

Fertilizer:

Anaerobic digestion reduces the solids content of biomass by converting volatile solids (unstable organic matter) into biogas. Nutrients become concentrated in a form that is less odorous than the initial biomass and in a form that plants can readily use for growth.
