Schmack BioEnergy Announces Relationship with John Verdile of XpenseSolutions

Schmack BioEnergy, a Cleveland, Ohio, based  waste management and renewable energy company, announced today that it has entered into a consulting agreement with John Verdile of XpenseSolutions Energy Advisory Services .

Mr. Verdile, Founder and President of XpenseSolutions Energy Advisory Services, has over seventeen years of experience developing energy programs that address price, operational and process efficiency goals.  He specializes in analyzing energy procurement procedures and consumption patterns of major corporations to develop cost saving supply and demand side energy strategies that provide clients with a competitive advantage.   Over the course of his career, John has managed energy supply portfolios as large as $800 million dollars serving over 45,000 accounts and developed energy demand reduction performance contracts in excess of $10 million dollars.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with Schmack BioEnergy,” says John, “because I believe that they represent the absolute best technology for cities and communities for the disposal of biomass and the generation of sustainable, renewable energy.”

“We are very pleased to welcome John to our team,” says Mel Kurtz, President Schmack BioEnergy.    “John brings to the table a comprehensive understanding of the energy industry.  His approach focuses on the demands of both energy suppliers and consumers.”

John’s role with Schmack will be to identify and develop strategic customer relationships that focus on energy efficiency.

“I believe Schmack’s technology solves waste management problems, promotes environmental stewardship and will stimulate economic growth throughout Ohio,” says John.

Schmack BioEnergy is a Cleveland, Ohio, based company that builds, owns and operates clean energy production facilities in North America.   The company was jointly formed with Schmack Biogas AG, a leading anaerobic digestion company based in Germany with almost 300 plants operating or under construction worldwide.   Schmack houses a laboratory facility at The Ohio State University’s Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) in Wooster, Ohio.  Schmack turns waste into biogas using a tested process called anaerobic digestion.  Biogas is recycled from municipal waste (biosolids), farm waste, food and cannery residuals, and alcohol & ethanol distillers’ waste.  It is composed of approximately 60% methane – the principle ingredient in natural gas.  Biogas is a renewable energy source that can affordably supplement 30% of the traditional fossil fuels domestically.
