Please take a moment to consider the opportunity converting waste (biomass) to energy (biogas) presents for Ohio and America. Two biogas incentive bills are currently circulating through Congress; in the Senate, the Nelson Bill (S.306), and in the House, the Higgins Bill (HR 1158). These bills promote a biogas tax credit to companies with technology that can successfully produce biogas. We encourage you to contact your Senator and Congressman to ask them to support these important pieces of legislation. Incentives, in the form of tax credits, can make a difference in the development of Ohio's renewable energy industry without negatively affecting taxpayers.
Biogas is a real solution. If Ohio’s available biomass were converted to biogas/CNG, it would meet 20% of Ohio’s total gasoline demand. Can you imagine Ohio generating significant sustainable energy that reduces our dependence on outside sources? This new industry would generate more than $2,000,000,000 in annual revenue, create more than 250,000 jobs, expand our rural economy, and lower the cost for transporting goods and services! Gasoline from biogas would have an all in price to consumers of less than $1.75 per gallon and all the money stays in the state (or the respective state).
Below is a list of the companies and organizations that have expressed their support so far - if you are in support of sustainable renewable energy, please consider contacting your Congressman or Senator and adding your company or organization's name to their list. To add your name to quasar's list, please contact quasar energygroup will be posting a list of supporters to our website - so please take the time to fill out the form to the right so that we can also include your company or organization's name on the list.
